Jennifer Cassetta

Jennifer Cassetta is the founder of Health and the City™, a one-stop shopping for people looking to make quantum leaps in the quality of their life. The mission of Health and the City™ is to help "urbanites" take their health and vitality to the next level through fitness and martial arts training as well as holistic nutrition programs.
Jennifer is a third degree black belt instructor of HapKiDo, a Korean martial art which literally translates to The Way of Harmonizing Life Force Energy. She has trained for 10 years under the nationally recognized, top HapKiDo instructor in the country, Master David Herbert (7th Dan) in NYC. She also holds a black belt in VSK Jujitsu under the legendary, martial arts Hall of Famer, Soke Lil' Jon Davis. Martial arts was the catalyst that led her to take on health and fitness as her mission in life. Through this training, Jennifer has been able to get through many of life’s obstacles with strength, determination and confidence and wishes to share this sense of empowerment with others.
Jennifer is also a clinical nutritionist with a Master’s of Science degree in Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport and a graduate from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. Jennifer is a certified personal trainer through National Academy of Sports Medicine. She has built a successful personal training business in NYC, the Hamptons and Los Angeles where she is now based.
Jennifer has been featured on E! TV. She has been written about in Marie Clare, Women’s Health magazine, Wall Street Journal, NY Post, and on NPR radio. She writes a monthly Health and the City™ Newsletter and has been published in a variety of online and print publications.
The programs that Jennifer creates include development of the mind, body and spirit. Her style of coaching incorporate the best of both Eastern and Western philosophies and her background of fitness and nutrition are the perfect mix to help her clients reach their highest potential!
